Quick little watercolor painting I did after re-reading Maurice Sendak's "Where the Wild Things Are," Quite a good read when you're fighting insomnia, heh.

How to Be an Ogre by aridante is a stunning watercolor painting depicting a seemingly friendly ogre and a little girl, both of which are resting atop a hillside underneath a lovely sky decorated with clouds. This image caught my eye thanks to the feature posted today. This image utilizes vibrant colors and precision detail work, and is sure to amaze anybody. Watercolor is one of the most difficult painting methods to master, and aridante's work clearly shows that she has, indeed, mastered it. (Selected by +liquisoft) (Featured by $liquisoft)

This really is fantastic... the concept of a little kid teaching an ogre how to be mean is just hilariously ironic, and your skill with the brush is amazing!

Keep it up!
